Structure of the association
The voluntary board consists of five members.
Concept of supervision
Supervision is a specific profession with following criteria:
- There must be an isomorphism between the model of supervision and that of the object of the supervision.
- It should be global, that is all aspects of the work must be included and integrated.
- It must create continuity towards further professionalisation which is the aim of supervision.
The model is of consultative supervision, the supervisor comes from outside the organisation and must be an expert in psychosocial work on the basis of own experience and theoretical knowledge, supervision techniques and theory and must have cultural competence or knowledge of daily aspects of the work done by the supervisees.
Target groups of supervision
Social workers in the fields of social welfare: social security systems, health care, hospitals, the church, psychiatric care, school, prison and probation, social treatment institutions, family counselling etc.
Training of supervisors
Advanced course on supervision at university level with the following prerequisites:
- bachelor of arts in social work,
- five years of professional experience in psychosocial work;
- completed psychotherapy;
- experience of having been supervised.
Activities of the association
- A register with the members is distributed to organisations.
- Open meetings including seminars, workshops or lectures for the members.
